We will update common scam cases and tricks in the Anti-Fraud Center regularly, to remind financial users to pay attention to info security and raise awareness of prevention, stay vigilant to transfers!

 

Common scam scenarios

 

1. Impostors

 

Scammers would call themselves employees from a financial institution, remittance company, or a government officer, or from a third-party financial institution, and ask users to send money to defrost account, pay for extra fees or verify account safety.

 

2. Internet Scams

 

Scammers would induce users to offer personal sensitive info by fake remittance link or phishing emails, to steal users’ funds or identity info to swipe their cards, then abscond with money.

 

3. Illegal currency exchange

 

In the name of “high rates”, scammers would induce users to exchange money via a third-party illegal exchange institution, underground bank, or unlicensed remittance tool, in which funds are unregulated and unsecured.

 

 

Panda Remit Official Reminders

 

1. Panda Remit can only remit money on APP/H5

 

Stay vigilant when anyone that calls him/herself Panda Remit employee and contacts you in private to transfer money or refund, because Panda Remit
× will never ask users to transfer to a private account
× will never ask users to pay deposit 
× will never transfer to a non-user private account in the name of refund
× will never ask for info or document in private

 

2. Panda Remit never shows work badge to users

 

Stay vigilant when someone shows personal Weixin account, phone number or work badge!
Because Panda Remit employees will never show badges to users in any form.

 

3. Panda Remit financial department wouldn’t contact users

 

Stay vigilant when anyone contacts you as a Panda Remit financial department employee.
Because Panda Remit financial department will never contact users privately in any form, nor ask for information or transfer.

 

4. Panda Remit official email addresses

 

Check the address carefully if you need to contact Panda Remit through emails. Panda Remit won’t ask users to offer sensitive info or transfer in emails.
